About

My work brings to mind the organic beauty of my experience and the interconnection between the body, mind, and all living forms. The idea that everything is a product of an experience frames the work, deconstructing ideas and experiences that exist from childhood to adulthood.
Having lived and engaged in the arts from a very young age, my experiences and interests led me to the study of such diverse subjects as ecology, theology, expressive arts, and cultural studies. My work involves the discovery of our human condition and exists through a framework of texture, color, line and movement. My work falls under my abstract expressionist mentors including Agnes Martin, Cy Twombley, Sam Francis, Helen Frankenthaler, Franz Kline and more.
Each body of work represents a specific expression of a personal journey, documenting both the tension and peace that exists in those memories and experiences. By using a variety of layers, colors, mediums, marks, and texture, I am able to share a story that is universal and intertwined in the human experience.

"The most important tool the artist fashions through constant practice is faith in his ability to produce miracles when they are needed." Mark Rothko

Attention; back to self. So much information all day long, external stimuli vying for our attention and our resources. Every day we need to process, anchor and settle the information back to our consciousness.

Adult Class
Sorry to say that the adult classes are put on hold right now due to COVID19 restrictions. I hope to see you all very soon!
Art, Intuition and the Creative Process
In a casual and supportive environment, participants will be invited to use art, creativity and intuition as a tool for self-expression and self-exploration. An immersive program, the classes are designed for students who have a passion or even just an interest in art making. We will be experimenting with many different mediums and modalities, including drawing, painting and mixed media. We will explore the symbolic relationship and connections between these mediums, our imagery and how the symbiosis of these elements can be transformative. There will be a strong emphasis on finding one’s creative voice and developing formal and technical skills to support it. Participants will find an increase in their enthusiasm to create and continuously explore! All levels of experience are encouraged. No painting, drawing or art making experience is necessary.
